POSITION SUMMARY

The Field Support serves as a direct support resource to the Superintendent and project team on active construction sites. This is an entry-level, hands-on role ideal for someone looking to build a career in commercial construction. Responsibilities include site logistics, cleanup, light carpentry, material handling, punch list support, and maintaining a safe and organized jobsite.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report directly to the project Superintendent.
  • Assist with daily jobsite operations and project execution.
  • Perform general labor and carpentry tasks as directed.
  • Build and install temporary handrails, barricades, protection, and other site safety measures.
  • Support project startup, mobilization, and site setup activities.
  • Assist with material deliveries, staging, and organization.
  • Coordinate and perform jobsite cleanup, including composite cleanup and debris removal.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas throughout the project.
  • Support punch list completion and closeout activities.
  • Assist subcontractors and field staff with logistical needs.
  • Organize and maintain project files, drawings, and field documents.
  • Monitor project areas for safety concerns and report issues to project leadership.
  • Follow and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful completion of the project.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in construction, carpentry, general labor, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and jobsite practices.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move construction materials and equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with commercial construction projects.
  • Basic carpentry skills.
  • OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Interest in advancing into construction leadership roles such as Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.
